Can having sex with many different partners destroy a career?
Have you ever thought about your goals in life? All of us have dreams of what could be. Those who commit themselves to making some of those dreams a reality find they have greater focus and energy than they ever realized was possible.
Take the example of "Magic" Johnson, considered by many to be one of the greatest basketball players in history. As a high school student, he had dreams which became goals, giving him the drive to rise to the heights of world athletic achievement.

But something that had nothing to do with basketball ended his career. If someone had come to him a few years earlier and said, "Having sex with all these different partners could destroy your career," he probably would have laughed and told that person to mind his own business.

Several years ago, in 1991, he held that famous press conference where he revealed that he was infected with the virus that causes AIDS. It was a big shock because many people thought that only homosexuals or drug addicts had to worry about AIDS. They were surprised to learn that Magic Johnson was apparently infected with the AIDS virus through having sex with a woman. Also, many people incorrectly believe that they can tell, just by looking at someone, if he or she is infected with the AIDS virus. But, as the example of Magic Johnson shows, a sexual partner could look perfectly healthy and still be infected and able to infect you.
